the new album.
when is that bitchnit coming out?
today? tomorrow? sooner?
the short answer: a few more months. Spring. The label needs time to press it…but the single will probably come soon. As hinted last month, I will be giving away a copy of the new album, so keep watching for the release date! (the contest will start around then) (travisisgreat also asked this)
Here’s why/the way I see it: For the band, there’s a lot resting on this album, mostly because it’s about their very personal issues (explained). Additionally, it’s their second release, which is usually susceptible to a higher form of criticism from fans and professional outlets.
Musically, the mixes/production are just going to take longer this time. Red, Yellow & Blue was recorded at Chemical Sound, a studio that typically yields more a more relaxed, live-off-the-floor feeling. (see: novels) Most of the cuts on the first album were take ones.
Say It (the second LP) was recorded at Metalworks, which will bring about a totally different feeling to the disc. I mean, The Jonas Brothers recorded there. So yeah, more time on the mixes, more of a produced feel. Truth is, Luke is incredibly driven and a probably a bit of a perfectionist (ex. completely wrong note!). He wants to know what makes that chart topper, because he wants to be at that level. Like I said, Jonas Brothers.
